Jamie Winstone says that she 'fell in love' with the Love, Rosie script immediately after reading it.

Winstone is set to team up with Sam Claflin and Lily Collins for the big screen for the adaptation of the Cecelia Ahern's novel Where Rainbows End.

And while the actress is not usually a fan of the romantic comedy genre, but she says she really believed in the film's message of love.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, the actress said: "I'm not usually a fan of romantic comedies. But when I read the script for 'Love, Rosie' I fell in love with it straight away.

"It was one of those moments when you instantly think, 'I'm attached to this story'. I've never met author Cecilia [Ahern], but I would love to, because her book really touched my heart.

"I do believe in the film's message: that there is one person - or soul mate - for everyone and that true love can conquer all. I hope so anyway!

"I've had plenty of experiences of toying with love, so who knows?"

Winstone takes on the role of central character Rosie Dunne's friend, while Tamsin Egerton, Christian Cooke, and Suki Waterhouse are also on board.

Love, Rosie is the second of Ahern's novels to be adapted, after the success of P.S. I Love You.

As for Winstone, this is the first time that we have seen her on the big screen with Powder Room.

Love, Rosie is released 22nd October.
