Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler

We are big fans of Jake Gyllenhaal here at FemaleFirst, and he will be returning to the big screen this autumn with brand new film Nightcrawler.

Gyllenhaal has brought to life some fascinating characters during his acting career, and Nichtcrawler looks set to be another project that the actor has been able to sink his teeth into as he teams up with director Dan Gilroy.

Gilroy is best known for his writing work on the likes of Real Steel and The Bourne Legacy, but Nightcrawler sees him make his feature film directorial debut: he has also penned the screenplay for the movie.

A brand new set of images from Nightcrawler have been released by Flicks and Bits, and we have them for you to take a look at:

Gyllenhaal was the first actor aboard the project as he takes on the central role of Lou Bloom, who finds himself in the world of freelance crime journalism.

He starts pushing the boundaries of reporting the news, by making it.

He is joined by an exciting cast, as Rene Russo, Riz Ahmed, Bill Paxton and Ann Cusack are just some of the names that are going to star.

Nightcrawler was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival last month, where it was met by great reviews. The trailer looks like it is going to be a tense and rather creepy watch and I can’t wait to see Gyllenhaal back in big screen action.

Nightcrawler is released 31st October.
