Jean Dujardin says working with George Clooney was 'perfect'.

Dujardin returns to the big screen this week as part of the ensemble cast of The Monuments Men.

The Oscar winning actor was on the red carpet in London this week for the UK premiere of the World War II movie.

Speaking at the premiere, the actor said: "It is unbelievable. As a director George Clooney is perfect as he trust his crew and his actors and is open to ideas.

"It's funny because I was a Frenchie in the movie and I am a Frenchie on set; which probably helped me to not act and just be Jean Claude Clermont.

"It was very easy. All of the crew and all of the actors were very kind and very attentive."

Dujardin grabbed everyone's attention with The Artist back in 2011; he went head to head with Clooney for the Best Actor Oscar that year, and won.

The Monuments Men marks the first time that Dujardin has worked with Clooney; Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett are just some of the other names on the cast list.

The actor has also completed work on La French and has been linked with a role in Gardel.

The Monuments Men is released 14th February.
