Lawrence may have only just wrapped up the 'Hunger Games' franchise but she has admitted she wasn't prepared to take a short break and, consequently, miss out on the sci-fi-adventure film, starring Chris Pratt.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly magazine, due out this week, she said: "The script is perfection. It was so good that I thought I can't not do this movie. It's just too good."

And although Lawrence is already finding the the filming schedule a struggle, she has admitted her co-star Pratt is helping her through it with his positive attitude.

She explained: "Pratt is a bag of gummie bears. He is cotton candy in human form. He's always in a good mood!

"He always has energy. The other day I got mad at him because he's only positive. It was 4am and we had been working for 15 hours straight.

"I walk into the studio and Pratt has his phone in the air and is playing music and dancing around. He's so f***ing funny and nice. I think this movie is going to be awesome."

'Passengers', scheduled for release next year, is set on a spaceship, which is travelling towards a colony planet with thousands of people sleeping onboard when it is hit with a malfunction that wakes a passenger 60 years too early.
