Jerry Bruckheimer says Bad Boys 3 is going ahead and it is just a case of getting 'everybody together'.

Bruckheimer served as producer on Bad Boys and Bad Boys II in 1995 and 2003, and now he reveals that work is underway on a script for the third film.

Speaking to Collider, the producer said: "It’s so funny because we’ll get Sony real excited to make the movie, and then Will [Smith] is off doing two movies. And then, Will will come back and be real excited about it, and Sony will say, 'Well, maybe it’s not the time for this.'

"And then, Ride Along came out and was a big hit, and now they’re all excited to make the movie, but Will is off doing something else.

"It’s just trying to get everybody together to make it. But, we’re working on the script. We have a lot of faith and hope that we’ll do it."

While no casting has officially been announced, it is believed that Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will be back as Mike Lowerey and Marcus Burnett, while Michael Bay has been linked to the director's chair.

As for Bruckheimer, new film Deliver Us From Evil will be released this summer: the movie sees him return to producing duties.
