Directed by Aaron Sorkin, the film stars Jessica Chastain in the titular role, with Idris Elba playing criminal defense lawyer Charlie Jaffey; a man who works on behalf of Molly in the courts and quickly learns there’s much more to his client than the tabloids and mainstream media would have the public believe.

Based on Bloom’s memoir Molly’s Game: From Hollywood’s Elite to Wall Street’s Billionaire Boys Club, My High-Stakes Adventure in the World of Underground Poker (a long title indeed!), the movie will explore how Molly’s journey saw huge Hollywood stars, business moguls, sports stars and even the Russian mob come together to battle it out for some of the biggest poker prizes available.

This week, Entertainment One UK have teased the release of the film next month by dropping a brilliant new featurette, giving a sneak peak of the movie and seeing some of the film’s leading stars chatting about how it was all brought together. You can watch the video below:

To-date, Molly’s Game has seen some brilliant critical reviews and currently sits at 88% on reviews aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes (37 positive and 5 negative write-ups). Exactly how public reception in the UK will turn out remains to be seen, but we imagine Sorkin and the rest of the team involved have done something truly special – especially with talent like Chastain and Elba leading proceedings.

Molly’s Game comes to cinemas across the UK on January 1, 2018.
