Josh Brolin is believed in be in talks for a role in Jurassic World.

Jurassic World is the fourth film in the Jurassic Park series and it looks like Brolin could be set to take on the lead role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Colin Trevorrow will be in the director's chair for the film and it was revealed last week that Ty Simpkins is already on board the project.

Casting is thought to have taken longer than expected, as 'Jurassic World' was originally set for release in June 2014 but was delayed by Universal in order to allow more time to develop the film's script.

We haven't seen Trevorrow in the director's chair since Safety Not Guaranteed, and he has also penned the screenplay for the new film.

Trevorrow recently indicated he wants to introduce new dinosaurs to the movie's prehistoric line-up, with it rumoured there will be underwater creatures in the new movie.

Jurassic Park was released back in 1993 with The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Part III following in 1997 and 2001.

A plot is yet to be revealed for the film. Jurassic Park is set to hit the big screen in summer 2015.
