Judy Greer has described the Ant-Man story as ‘beautiful.’
Ant-Man is set to be the second of two Marvel movies to hit the big screen in 2015, and will see Greer star in her first superhero film - who will take on the role of Maggie in the movie.
The movie will see Greer team up with Paul Rudd, who will star as Scott Lang, and the actress reveals she has loved working with him and is a big fan of the story that they are telling with this first Ant-Man movie.
Speaking to IGN, the actress said: “Paul is so awesome and he’s so great in this role. This has been my first comic hero that I’ve really researched and fallen for. I also think the Ant-Man origin story that we tell in our movie is really beautiful and I think there’s something really real about a man trying to better himself for his family.”
Peyton Reed is in the director’s chair in what will be his first Marvel film, while Greer and Rudd are joined on the cast list by Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Pena and Bobby Cannavale. It looks like we are also going to be seeing Hayley Atwell and John Slattery reprise their roles of Peggy Carter and Howard Stark.
2015 is going to be a huge year for Greer as Ant-Man is just one of the big and highly anticipated films that she will be starring in. As well as Ant-Man, Greer will also be in Jurassic World and Disney sci-fi film Tomorrowland this summer - both of which are expected to do well at the box office.
She has also completed work on Fresno and Geezer. She is currently working on Pixar movie The Good Dinosaur, in which she will lend her voice to the character of Ivy. Neil Patrick Harris, Frances McDormand, Bill Hader, and John Lithgow are also on board.
Ant Man is released 17th July.
