Moore is in negotiations to star opposite 25-year-old Welsh actor Taron Egerton - who will reprise his role of troubled youth-turned-secret service agent Gary 'Eggsy' Unwin in Matthew Vaughn's upcoming action sequel - and will reportedly take on the sequel's villainous part.

If she joins the cast, Moore will take up the mantle of the main baddie from Samuel L. Jackson - who played an eccentric eco-warrior called Richmond Valentine who planned to save the planet from climate change via a worldwide killing spree in the 2014 film.

Details for the character have not been revealed but Taron previously indicated the latest nasty piece of work for the spy-thriller series has been so "brilliantly" written that he wished he could have played the part himself.

And it has now become clear as to why that would be impossible for more reasons that one, as the part has seemingly been written for a woman.

Meanwhile, the action is set to take the spy-thriller movie from London to the US, with Taron previously revealing: "With 'Kingsman', we're shooting in the summer at present. There's a script, it's brilliant. Obviously there's only so much I can say but what I can say is that we shot the first one all in the UK, that won't be the case with the next one. It's a far more international story, we're going to some incredible places."

Julianne can currently be seen in 'Freeheld' opposite 'Juno' star Ellen Page.
