The real world can be quite a dark place at times, so it’s not difficult to understand exactly why the colourful and entertaining superhero universes we see on a plethora of entertainment platforms have gained such fame. Whether you’re watching superhero movies on the big screen, playing superhero-themed online games or going old school and enjoying the latest superhero adventures in the pages of a comic book, the majority of people who indulge in the entertainment industry will be familiar with some of the world’s most famous fictional crime fighters.
Following the massive success of the DC Extended Universe’s most-recent release, Wonder Woman, will come new DCEU flick Justice League in just over a month’s time. As Bruce Wayne (aka Batman) and Diana Prince (aka Wonder Woman) realise they can’t save the world all on their own, they bring together a group of metahumans with differing powers and abilities to form a superhero team like none other – the Justice League.
Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash will all be brought into the action in the film, with it also being heavily rumoured and hinted at that Superman will be making his return, following his death in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Ben Affleck returns as Batman with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Ezra Miller as The Flash and, if he does indeed make a comeback, Henry Cavill as Superman.
In Justice League, we’ll catch up with Bruce and Diana a few months after the events of Dawn of Justice. The Dark Knight feels a restored faith in humanity following the Man of Steel’s sacrifice, and so works hard to get along with his new friends and go up against one of the world’s most dangerous threats in Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons. With the villains on the hunt for three Mother Boxes scattered across the planet, the heroes must act fast if they’re to be successful and take down those hungry for immense, world-changing power.
The film’s release is now right around the corner, so a collection of brilliant new character posters have been revealed, which you can check out below:
