Justin Theroux has revealed he and Ben Stiller hope to make a sequel of 'Zoolander'.

Theroux - who recently turned 43 - played a small role in the original film, which was released in 2001, and has confirmed there are tentative plans in place to make a sequel of the popular comedy flick.

Asked whether the plans are progressing, he told Vulture.com: "Yeah, we've got a script for the sequel, and we've just been in talks again.

"We're trying to sharpen it and hone it and, actually, I don't want to jinx anything, but it looks like it actually might be starting to get up and running."

Theroux has been busy filming HBO show 'The Leftovers' over the last few months, but says he now has the opportunity to focus his attention on the 'Zoolander' sequel, with the project being driven by comedian Ben Stiller.

Theroux - who's helped write 'Tropic Thunder' and 'Iron Man 2' - added: "It's actually been a little hard with the show, but now I'm back full-time to dedicate time toward doing it.

"I met with Ben [Stiller] a couple times when I was in New York doing 'The Leftovers', and then I'm meeting again with him probably in September."
