Kate Winslet said it was 'very fun' having the chance to show her nasty side in Divergent.
Winslet was on the red carpet in London last night for the premiere of the film; which is released on Friday.
The Oscar winner will take on the role of villain Jeanine in the movie, a role that he loved getting the chance to play.
Speaking to Belfast Telegraph, the actress said: "I am actually playing another nasty person this year (in The Dressmaker).
"I don't know why I'm suddenly playing nasty people. It is very fun, though, and it isn't real, at the end of the day."
"It was really easy. It was very much playing a different role. It was something very new for me and a whole other challenge playing someone who is quite so cruel."
Winslet is joined on the cast list by other established stars such as Ashley Judd and Ray Stevenson, while Shailene Woodley, Theo James & Miles Teller are a trio of the upcoming actors.
Winslet has also completed work on A Little Chaos, and is set to film Triple Nine and The Dressmaker this year.
Divergent is released 4th April.
