Liam Hemsworth

Liam Hemsworth is set to star alongside Kate Winslet in the adaptation of The Dressmaker.

The Dressmaker is a big screen adaptation of the novel by Rosalie Ham, and will be directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse.

Screen Daily has reported that Hemsworth has signed up for a role in the drama, where he will star alongside Winslet for the first time.

Winslet has been attached to the film, for some time - she will take on the role of Myrtle ‘Tilly’ Dunnage - while Judy Davis is also on board.

The Dressmaker will be the fifth feature film for Moorhouse, who has brought us the likes of A Thousand Acres and Proof during her career.

Production is set to get underway in October, and the film is expected to hit the big screen in 2015.

As for Hemsworth, we haven’t seen him in a film since the success of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at the end of last year.

Hemsworth is set to reprise the role of Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games: Mocking jay -Part 1 in the autumn - which is already one of the most anticipated films of the year.

The Aussie actor is currently filming Cut Bank with Billy Bob Thornton, John Malkovich, Bruce Dern and Teresa Palmer. Matt Shakman is in the director’s chair for the film.
