Lindsay Lohan says she is keen to do a Mean Girls sequel and will harass Tina Fey to write a script.

Mean Girls hit the big screen back in 2004, and saw Lohan star alongside Fey, Rachel McAdams, and Amy Poehler.

There has been a lot of talk to the hit film this year, and is seem the Lohan also wants to see it go ahead.

Speaking to Time Out magazine, the actress said: "People love the movie. How do you top that?

"I was with Tina the other day and I said we should do another 'Mean Girls' - like an older version, where they're all housewives and cheating.

"That would be really funny. I'll harass Tina to write it."

Fey penned the original screenplay, which was based on the book by Rosalind Wiseman, while Mark Waters was in the director's chair.

As for Lohan, we last saw her on the big screen in The Canyons. but she has appeared in television projects such as 2 Broke Girls and Eastbound & Down.

The actress has also been linked to roles in films Soul Carriers and Six Gun Dead.
