Simon Pegg is set to return to the big screen this spring as he teams up with Lake Bell for new romantic comedy Man Up.

Man Up

Man Up

The British comedy will see Ben Palmer back in the director's chair for what will be his first feature film since The Inbetweeners Movie back in 2011. This will also be the first time that he has teamed up with both Pegg and Bell.

Pegg and Bell will take on the central roles of Jack and Nancy, while Olivia Williams, Ophelia Lovibond, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Rory Kinnear, and Ken Stott make up a terrific supporting cast.

The brand new trailer for the film has arrived and it looks like Pegg and Bell are going to make a terrific comedy pairing. Check out the trailer:

The Inbetweeners Movie marked the feature film directorial debut for Palmer, and Man Up is only the second feature film of his directorial career. Tess Morris is also aboard the project having penned the screenplay.

Morris has worked on TV series such as Hollyoaks and My Family, as well as doing some additional writing for movie The Love Punch. However, this will be her first solo script to make it to the big screen.

Meet Nancy (Bell): 34, single (still), hung-over (again), and exhausted by the endless futile set ups foisted upon her by well-meaning but clueless friends. As she travels across London to toast another 10 years of her parent's blissfully happy marriage, 40 year old, freshly-hatched divorcee Jack (Pegg) mistakes her for his 24 year old blind date.

In a moment of uncharacteristic optimism (or insanity?), Nancy decides to just go with it... What follows is a chaotic, unconventional, hilarious night neither of them will ever forget. There will be drinking, there will be home truths; there will be an old classmate with a long-standing crush and stalker tendencies.

There will be lost divorce papers, lost hopes, competitive indoor sports and an epic venue-to-venue urban triathlon. Oh, and the small matter of Jack finding out that Nancy isn't actually his real blind date.

Man Up is released 29th May.
