Deadpool is already one of the most talked about movies of 2016 and there's still seven months to go before it hits the big screen.

If, like us here at FemaleFirst, you are already looking forward to seeing Ryan Reynolds return to the title role, don't fear as Entertainment Weekly have shared a terrific new image from the film.

Filming has been completed on Deadpool and the movie is now in post-production - there was a point when I thought that we were never going to see this film hit the big screen. I am excited that Reynolds has battled to make this happen.

Reynolds is back as Wade Wilson aka Deadpool - who we saw him play back in 2009 in X-Men Origins: Wolverine - and this is the first time that we are going to see him in a solo movie.

Deadpool sees Tim Miller in the director's chair as he makes the leap to features for the first time; he was behind short films Rockfish and Aunt Luisa, but this is set to really put him on the directing map.

Miller has assembled a great cast as Reynolds is joined by Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Ed Skrein, and Rachel Sheen.

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool.

Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humour, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool is released 5th February 2016.
