Taking place 30 years after the events of the original Harrison Ford-led film, Blade Runner 2049 will introducing new LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), a runner who uncovers an incredible secret that could plunge the remainder of society into chaos. Embarking on a mission to find Rick Deckard (Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who’s been missing for the past three decades, he’ll come to realise that this is a quest like no other. Check out a new international TV promo for the film below:

Also starring Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Ana de Armas, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis and Sylvia Hoeks, Blade Runner 2049 looks to be one of the most exciting, star-studded releases of 2017.

The teaser comes after news that Hans Zimmer would reportedly score the film, meaning some hugely atmospheric moments would be around every corner.

Denis Villeneuve serves as director, and whilst not too much is known about the plot of the film, we have heard Leto’s character say: “Every leap of civilisation was built off the back of slaves. Replicants are the future, but I can only make so many. I have the lock, and he has the key.”

It’s fair to say Leto’s character will be a villain here, hunting blade runners in order to achieve a new kind of “perfect” world.

Blade Runner 2049 hits cinemas across the UK on October 6, 2017.
