Masterminds

Zach Galifianakis, Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson, and Jason Sudeikis are set to join forces for the brand new comedy, which will be hitting the big screen at the beginning of August.

The movie is based on a true story of one of the most daring bank heists in U.S. history - naturally, not everything goes to plant. Check out the new trailer:

Galifianakis will take on the central role of David Ghantt in the film, and I cannot wait to see him team up with Wiig, Wilson, and Sudeikis. Kate McKinnon, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and Ken Marino are also on the cast list.

The movie sees Jared Hess in the director's chair and he is no stranger to the comedy genre with the likes of Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre already under his belt. Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, and Emily Spivey are also on board having teamed up to pen the screenplay.

The film tells the hilarious true story of David Ghantt (Galifianakis) a half-brained driver at an armoured car company who is led astray by his flirtatious work crush Kelly (Wiig). Kelly and her buddy Steve (Wilson) convince David to do an inside job, and to everyone's surprise he manages to pull off one of the biggest bank heists in US History!

With Steve conspicuously flashing the cash and the FBI closing in on them the plan starts to go south, then further south. Meanwhile Ghantt is hiding out in Mexico awaiting the money and Kelly, but an unexpected guest arrives in her place. With everyone out for themselves, things quickly start to fall, stumble and slip apart... They're so dumb, it's criminal.

Masterminds is released 7th August.
