Olga Kurylenko has revealed that director Terrence Malick would poke her to keep her moving whilst shooting new film To The Wonder.

The actress teamed up with the maverick filmmaker for the first time on this project - which also stars Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams.

And Kurylenko had nothing but praise for Malick but called the way that he shoots a film a 'very different way of working'

Speaking to The Press Association the actress said: "Everything really comes from Terry. He always wanted his actresses to move all the time.

"We always had to move, stillness is not an option. And if you stop moving, he'll poke you, verbally or physically. 'Keep going, Keep going!'

"It was a very different way of working. Probably no one else shoots like him. Things are spontaneous, there's no script, but Terry spoke to us a lot.

"In a weird way, as much as it seems we're free, there is so much guidance. Terry just does it in a way you don't realise.

"Everything you do you might think you've come up with, but it's because Terry slowly brought you there and he knew you were going to do that. He's a bit psychic."

To The Wonder is the first big screen outing for Kurylenko since comedy Seven Psychopaths but we are going to be seeing more of her this year.

She will kick off the blockbuster summer with Tom Cruise in sci-fi film Oblivion as well as tackle TV project Magic City.

To The Wonder is out now.
