Isaac has teamed up with Abrams for the first time for the highly anticipated next instalment of the Star Wars franchise - which is set to be one of the biggest movies of the year.

And Isaac has talked about working with the filmmaker, saying that he had time for everyone on the set.

Speaking to grantland.com, the actor said: "He is so enthusiastic, and so positive, and just full of energy. I've never met anyone as positive and kind, and definitely not someone helming something this big.

"He seems to have time not only for everything but for everyone. He was so kind to my family, to other peoples' families, to people on set.

"He's the same to people that are visiting from the top of the Lucasfilm and the janitor that cleans the warehouse. He's such a generous person."

Isaac is one of the new faces on the Star Wars cast list and will take on the role of Poe Dameron in the movie. Domhnall Gleeson, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, and Lupita Nyong'o are some of the other new stars on board.

However, there are some franchise favourites set to star as Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Peter Mayhew are all back.

Isaac is currently enjoying both critical and commercial success with Ex Machina and A Most Violent Year, and we are also going to be seeing him in Mojave later this year.

Isaac is also set to start work on X-Men: Apocalypse after landing the role of Apocalypse for the sequel to Days of Future Past.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released 18th December.
