Paul Bettany has called finally stepping onto a Marvel set and lending more than just his voice to a film as a 'dream.'

Bettany has been with the Marvel franchise since Iron Man, voicing the character of JARVIS through the Iron Man trilogy and Avengers Assemble... but with Avengers: Age of Ultron, we are actually going to see the actor on screen.

Age of Ultron is set to introduce us to the character of The Vision for the first time and sees Bettany take on the role. And the actor reveals that all of the cast was welcoming as when he arrived on set.

Speaking at the UK press conference, Bettany said: It was lovely to finally be on set with a bunch of people that I'd been supposedly working with for ten years but never actually met. It's a double-edged sword.

"Initially, my job was turning up at the end of the movie with the superhero power of if anything was still unclear I could clarify it by just talking and they would give me a big bag of cash! I couldn't imagine that the contract would ever be better than that. But it was a dream, honestly. Everyone was so welcoming, a bunch of really lovely, happy, well-paid actors."

This will be the first Marvel film that Bettany has worked on since the billion dollar success of Iron Man 3, but he is not the only new face on the cast list.

James Spader is on board as Ultron, while Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are on board as siblings Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

The movie sees Joss Whedon back in the director's chair, while Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner are also returning to the roles of Iron Man, Captain America. Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, and Hawkeye.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is out now.
