Bettany is set to reprise the role of The Vision in Civil War, as he steps into the Captain America franchise for the very first time.

We were introduced to this character for the first time earlier this year in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Bettany says that there are so many place to go with this character.

Speaking to Collider, the actor said: "What I love about my character is that there are so many places for him to go. I think he's very interested in what it means to be human and what love is. The only way one can guarantee one's loyalty is love.

"Loyalty is beyond logic, really. Logic doesn't really provide for loyalty. If your logic changes suddenly and things not make sense, you can alter your allegiance, but love stops you from being able to do that."

It has been revealed that The Vision will side with Tony Stark in Civil War, but it has been hinted that he made switch allegiances during the movie as Iron Man and Captain America go head to head.

At the moment, the teams are expected to look something like this The Vision, Black Widow, Black Panther and War Machine are with Iron Man. Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, Falcon, and Sharon Carter are with Captain America.

The movie will see Bettany team up with filmmakers Anthony and Joe Russo for the first time as the duo return to the director's chair for the first time since The Winter Soldier last year. The Russo's will also be going on to direct Avenger: Infinity War.

Civil War is set to kick off Phase Three of Marvel films in style and will be the first of two Marvel movies in 2016 - the other being Doctor Strange. It could be the first Captain America film to break $1 billion at the box office.

Captain America: Civil War is released 29th April 2016.
