Paul Giamatti has revealed that he has always wanted to play the villain in a superhero movie.
And Giamatti has got his chance has he will be taking on the role of The Rhino in The Amazing Spider Man 2 next year.
Speaking to Collider he says it is a childhood dream come true: "I totally wanted to play a villain in a comic book movie. I’ve been waiting my whole life to be a villain in a comic book movie.
"When I was a kid, I didn’t even know I wanted to be an actor, but I knew that I wanted to be like The Wolfman, or some bad guy in something.
"That’s what I wanted to do. I wanted to be those guys. For Halloween, that’s what I would do. I wanted to be The Mummy. So, it’s great. I get to do that. It’s awesome!"
The Amazing Spider Man 2 sees Giamatti team up with director Marc Webb, while he will do battle with Andrew Garfield.
Giamatti is not the only new face on the cast list as Jamie Foxx, Felicity Jones and Dane DeHaan are all also on board.
Giamatti returns to the big screen this week with Romeo and Juliet, and we will also be seeing him in 12 Years A Slave, All Is Bright, Parkland and he has lent his voice to animation film Turbo.
The Amazing Spider Man 2 is released 18th April 2014.
