Female First can today bring readers an exclusive clip ahead of the film’s release on Blu-ray and DVD, with the make-up and hair designers explaining exactly how they worked on Javier Bardem’s distinctive look for the movie. Check it out below:

From Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer Films, this Pirates of the Caribbean sequel is the fifth film in the much-loved franchise, tackling the high seas like never before and seeing Johnny Depp return to his Academy Award-nominated role as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Joined by Barden and Geoffrey Rush, the filmmakers behind Salazar’s Revenge, a film also known as Dead Men Tell No Tales around the world, have said that the series’ first instalment The Curse of the Black Pearl was the main source of inspiration for the tone and script this time round. Quite aptly, the film was first released a decade and a day after that original movie.

Following the journey of Henry Turner, the 12-year-old son of Will Turner who boards his father’s cursed ship, the film sees him tell his father about the Trident of Poseidon and how it will be able to break his curse, intent on bringing Captain Jack Sparrow in on the action. Unfortunately, his father doesn’t think this is the best course of action and orders his son to leave.

Nine years on and serving in the British Royal Navy, Henry faces trouble for attempting mutiny and from that point, as Captain Salazar and his crew rain terror down on his ship, all hell breaks loose.

With familiar faces and fresh characters making their way onto the scene, Salazar’s Revenge is an addictive thrill ride that doesn’t let up on shocking the viewer with every twist and turn.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge is available now on digital download, with Blu-ray and DVD releases set for October 2.
