This week, the brilliant first official teaser trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody – telling the story of Freddie Mercury like never before – has been released, showcasing Rami Malek’s performance as the music icon, and giving a glimpse as to what Queen fans should expect from the movie when it makes its cinematic debut this October. You can check it out, as well as a great new poster below:

Also starring Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Allen Leach, Tom Hollander and Mike Myers, Bohemian Rhapsody is a celebration of Queen’s music, and their extraordinary lead singer. Smashing down typical convention and creating a lane all of his own within the music industry, Mercury would go on to become one of the most beloved entertainers the world has ever seen.

Tracing the rise of the band through their revolutionary sound and instantly-recognisable music, the film will explore how Mercury’s life spiralled out of control, leading to a hiatus which would culminate in a reunion on the eve of Live Aid. There, Mercury led the band in one of the greatest rock performances of all time, though he battled a life-threatening illness.

Cementing a legacy, Queen have timeless tracks that are played as much in the modern world as when they were first released. This is going to be a movie that music fans everywhere should not miss out on seeing.

Bohemian Rhapsody comes to cinemas across the UK on October 24, 2018.
