Richard Curtis

Richard Curtis has hinted that About Time could be the last time that we see him in the director's chair.

He will be back at the helm this autumn for the new romantic comedy, which he has also penned.

This will only be his third outing as director having been behind Love Actually and The Boat That Rocks.

But it seems that three movies is all we may be getting from this writer turned filmmaker.

Speaking to Empire the director said: "I waited a while in order to write [About Time]. This probably will be the last film I will direct."

When asked why he would he may leave directing behind he said: "I don't know. Just a feeling... just a feeling."

"It feels like a summing-up to me. We'll see how things turn out,"

About Time sees Curtis team up with Rachael McAdams and Domhnall Gleeson, while he reunites with Bill Nighy.

About Time is released 4th September.
