Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds and Daniel Bruhl are the latest names to join the cast for Woman in Gold.

Both actors are aboard the project to star opposite Helen Mirren in the Simon Curtis directed film, reported deadline.com.

Mirren will take on the role of a Jewish World War II survivor, Maria Altmann, who fought the Austrian government to regain possession of five paintings by Gustav Klimt - known as a symbolist painter - that were stolen by the Nazis during wartime.

Reynolds is set to play her attorney in the film, while Bruhl is on board as his adversary.

Woman In Gold will be the first directorial outing for Curtis since My Week With Marilyn, while Alexi Campbell has penned the screenplay.

Reynolds has plenty of projects in the pipeline as he has already completed work on The Captive, Selfless and is currently filming Mississippi Grind.

As for Bruhl, He enjoyed huge success last year with Rush, and will be back with A Most Wanted Man and Ich und Kaminski.

Filming on Woman In Gold is set to get underway later this year.
