Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds has revealed that the big draw for him with Turbo was that it is a classic underdog story.

The actor will voice the title character in the film, which is the latest animation project from Dreamworks.

The movie follows snail Turbo who becomes one of the greatest racers after a freak accident.

Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "I just fell in love with that idea of a classic underdog story.

"What kid doesn't dream of piloting a fast car, running around a race track at six billion miles per hour?!"

David Soren is in the director's chair for the movie while Paul Giamatti, Maya Rudolph and Samuel L. Jackson are just some of the other stars who have lent their voices to the film.

And Reynolds is not stranger to the animation movie as he has already enjoyed huge success this year with The Croods.

We are also going to be seeing plenty of Reynolds this year as he has already completed work on R.I.P.D. and Queen of the Night. He is currently filming The Voices.

Turbo is released 18th October.
