Sandra Bullock has thanked Bafta for recognising Gravity.

Gravity picked up eleven nods when the nominations were announced earlier this week; which was more than any other film.

Bullock picked up a Best Actress nod for her central performance, but says she is excited for anyone who worked on the movie.

Speaking about the nominations, she said: "I am so excited for the artists who worked on Gravity.

"Every single person who worked on this film gave years of their life to create it and bring to life Alfonso's extraordinary vision I am so proud to be a part of this incredible journey and I would like to thank BAFTA for recognizing our film"

Gravity was nominated for Best Film and Best British film, as well as Best Actress and Best Director for Alfonso Cuaron.

Bullock and the rest of the Gravity team could well be celebrating later today as the Golden Globe winners will be revealed.

Bullock is in the mix for Best Actress alongside Judi Dench, Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet and Emma Thompson.

The Oscar nominations will also be revealed next week, and Gravity is expected to pick up a whole host of nods.
