Saoirse Ronan has denied that she is set to play the Scarlett Witch in Avengers 2.
Scarlett Witch, along with her brother Quicksilver, are just a couple of the new characters that we are going to be seeing in the sequel to Avengers Assemble.
Ronan has been linked to the role ever since the news broke that these characters were going to be involved with the film.
Speaking IFTN the actress said: "That's not happening, no. I think that was just one of those little rumours floating about."
There is no news either on who will be playing Quicksilver; however we do know that the character will be making an appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Joss Whedon is currently working on the script for the film, and will be returning to the director's chair.
Vin Diesel has also had a meeting with marvel bosses and hinted that he too could be heading for the highly anticipated sequel.
Filming will begin on Avengers 2 next year and will hit the big screen in summer 2015.
