Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson and Lupita Nyong’o have been linked to The Jungle Book.

It is believed that both actresses are currently in talks to star in Jon Favreau's adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling novel, as he starts to bring his cast together.

Heat Vision has reported that both Johansson and Nyong'o will both lend their voices to the project.

Johansson may bring the character of python Kaa to life, while the Oscar winner has been linked to the role of Rakcha, the wolf who adopts Mowgli.

This news comes weeks after it was revealed that Idris Elba was already on board to voice the character of Shere Khan.

The Jungle Book will be the third film that Favreau has made with Johansson - the pair worked on Iron Man 2 and Chef. However, this will be the first time the director has worked with Nyong'o.

This is just one adaptation of The Jungle Book on the horizon, as Andy Serkis is set to direct a second.

Filming on the movie is set to get underway shortly, for the autumn 2015 release.
