Bean has enjoyed a stellar TV and film career, but has admitted he may ultimately be remembered for being the man behind the meme of his 'Lord of the Rings' character Boromir saying, "One does not simply walk into Mordor".

The British star said: "For some reason, the parts I play, like Boromir or Ned Stark, have a life online long afterwards.

"I keep seeing, what do you call them - memes? 'One does not simply ask for a drink' instead of, 'One does not simply walk into Mordor' - that sort of thing."

Sean suggested that despite his acting achievements, he's more likely to be remembered for the humorous memes that have appeared on the internet.

He told Radio Times: "They'll probably be my unintended legacy."

Meanwhile, Sean also acknowledged his reputation for being killed off early in films.

He said: "I have died quite a few times to be fair.

"I've seen that reel of clips - it sounds a bit macabre, but I watched that back, and I'd forgotten some of the scenes I'd died in."
