Stan Lee has suggested that a Black Widow movie will 'eventually' go ahead.

There has been a lot of talk about the possibility of Black Widow getting her own film, and it seems that it is in Marvel's long terms plans.

This comes a week after Jessica Chastain called for the first female led superhero movie. However, Lee would not be drawn on when we will actually see the film hit the big screen.

Speaking at Fan Expo Canada (via Comic Book Resources), Lee said: "We haven't made a Black Widow movie but she's been in some of our movies, and she will be featured more prominently as we move forward," he said.

"And the chances are she will have her own movie because eventually all the superheroes are going to have their own movies.

"They are already working on Ant-Man, Dr Strange and The Black Panther and there are others I am not allowed to talk about."

Scarlett Johansson reprised the role of Black Widow earlier this year with Captain America: The Winter Soldier alongside Chris Evans and Samuel L. Jackson.

And she will be back in Avengers: Age of Ultron, in which she will play a bigger role, according to director Joss Whedon.

Scarlett Johansson took on the role for the first time in Iron Man 2 back in 2010 and reprised the role in 2012 with Avengers Assemble.
