Cavill is set to reprise the role of Superman/Clark Kent for the first time since the success of Man of Steel and we will see him go head to head with Batman for the first time.

And the actor says that Superman is no longer 'wet behind the ears' when it comes to being a superhero. Speaking to Empire, the actor said: "He's more used to this gig, doing his best to save as many lives as he can. He is no longer frantic. He's no longer a wet behind the ears kind of superhero."

We are set to see Ben Affleck take on the role of Batman for the first time and Cavill went on to talk about the differences between the two heroes.

He continued: "He doesn't agree with [Batman's] form of justice. For this farm boy, who tries to do things the right way, justice at any cost is not something he can come to terms with.

"It's not about one on one. Of course, Superman is going to win. But it's deeper than that. It's more that these two great powers exist and are actually trying to achieve the same thing, but in such different way..."

Dawn of Justice will mark the first time that Cavill has starred alongside Affleck while the movie sees Zack Snyder back in the director's chair.

We haven't seen Cavill on the big screen since The Man From U.N.C.L.E.last summer and it is great to see him back as Clark Kent.

Affleck is not the only new face joining the cast list as Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons are on board as Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Lex Luthor and Alfred. Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, and Laurence Fishburne are all set to return.

Dawn of Justice is set to build the DC Movie universe even further ahead of the release of Suicide Squad in the summer. Filming on Wonder Woman is already under way and a Justice League film is in the pipeline.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is released 25th March.
