Bane Is A Match For Batman Says Emma Thomas

Emma Thomas has called Bane a match for Batman in new movie The Dark Knight Rises.

Thomas returns as producer on the third of Christopher Nolan's Batman movies which sees tom Hardy take on Christian Bale.

Bale returns to the role of Batman for the final time while Hardy is on of the new faces on the cast list.

Speaking to Total Film the producer said: "Tom made a massive physical transformation for the role...

"It really is an intense performance. He finally feels like a match for Batman - both physically and mentally.

"Christian Bale (Batman) and Tom Hardy are both such fiercely committed actors that pitching them as adversaries works incredibly well - they have such a great chemistry on camera."

It's been four years since The Dark Knight grossed over $1 billion at the global box office and The Dark Knight promises to be one of the most successful movies of the year.

The Dark Knight Rises is released 20th July.
