The Conjuring 2 has won the battle for the #1 spot at the U.S. box office, beating Warcraft into second.
The Conjuring 2 sees James Wan back in the director's chair and comes three years after the success of the first movie. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson are also back as they reprise the central roles of Lorraine and Ed Warren.
The movie took over $40 million in its opening weekend to comfortably see off the challenge from Warcraft and Now You See Me 2 and claim the top spot at the box office.
Warcraft, which is based on the popular computer game, is the third feature film of Duncan Jones' career and his biggest movie project to date.
The movie has been enjoying huge success in China and, so far, has grossed over £286 million at the global box office. The film took $24.3 million over the weekend to open at number two.
Now You See Me 2 was the third and final new entry inside the top ten this week, as the magic movie opened at number three. Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Mark Ruffalo were back, while Lizzie Caplan and Daniel Radcliffe were the big new additions to the cast list.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows slipped three places to this week's number four while X-Men: Apocalypse was also down three as it rounded off the top five.
Me Before You and The Angry Birds Movie were both out of the top five this weekend as they slipped three and two places to six and seven.
Alice Through The Looking Glass was this biggest faller this week as the Johnny Depp movie fell four spots from four to number eight.
Captain America: Civil War was also down as it slipped three places to number nine. The Jungle Book rounded off the top ten, dropping just a single place from last week's number nine.
