One of the horror movies that we are looking forward to this summer is The Conjuring as James Wan returns to the director's chair.

Wan has brought us the likes of Saw and Insidious over the years, so he is no stranger to this genre.

The film sees him reunite with Patrick Wilson - they worked together on Insidious - while Vera Farmiga is also on board.

The Conjuring will sees them take on the roles of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Lili Taylor, Joey King, Ron Livingston and Mackenzie Foy are also on the cast list for the film.

Based on a true story, 'The Conjuring' tells the horrifying tale of how renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorised by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse.

Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.

It is great to see Wan back in the director's chair an helming a horror movie and The Conjuring is set to be one of the best films in this genre in 2013.

The Conjuring is released 2nd August.
