The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire dominated the MTV Movie Awards last night, as it scooped the three major prizes.

Catching Fire - which is the second film in The Hunger Games series - won Movie of the Year, Best Female Performance for Jennifer Lawrence and Best Male Performance from Josh Hutcherson.

Catching Fire was one of the biggest movies of 2014, and went on to gross in excess of $864 million at the box office. Mockingjay - Part 1 is already one of the most anticipated films of the year.

It was another great night for Will Poulter as he won Breakthrough Performance for his role in We're The Millers: he picked up a Rising Star Bafta earlier this year.

We Are The Millers went on to win a second gong for Best Kiss, between Poulter, Jennifer Aniston and Emma Roberts.

There was also a double win for The Wolf of Wall Street, as Jonah Hill won for Best Comedic Performance while Leonardo DiCaprio collected the #WTF Moment gong.

Iron Man, Superman, Thor, Bilbo Baggins and John Cale all went head to head for the Best Hero award, and it was Henry Cavill's Superman which came out on top.
