Gemma and Will’s happy existence is something that’s quickly shattered in upcoming British thriller The Unseen, when the death of their son in a tragic car accident sees Gemma blaming herself and Will utterly tormented. Starting to have panic attacks, Gemma’s eyesight is affected, whilst Will believes he can hear his son’s voice calling out for him. Experiencing grief like never before, they’re offered a country getaway at the Lake District by close friend and pharmacist, Paul.

A man willing to help in any way he can, Paul uses medication to try and stop Gemma’s panic attacks, but Will’s torment continues. Unable to hear his son in his bedroom back at home, he kicks up a fuss with Paul and suddenly leaves.

Feeling a major empty space in her life, Gemma and Paul grow closer than they thought they ever would, with love and grief intertwining into genuine feelings for one another. As all three descend into psychological and physical violence, they realise that their lives will never be the same again.

Starring Jasmine Hyde, Richard Flood and Simon Cotton in the leading roles of a film that comes from Gary Sinyor, viewers will be tested by the psychology of the movie like never before. As Gemma’s vision deteriorates, so too does that of the audience, and as things become even more blurred for those watching from the comfort of being behind the screen, the story goes through some major twists and turns.
