The Walk

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of our favourite actors here at FemaleFirst and he is set to return to the big screen this autumn with new film The Walk. The brand new poster for the film has arrived.

The Walk marks the return of Robert Zemeckis to the director's chair for the first time since Flight as he teams up with actor Gordon-Levitt for the first time.

Zemeckis has delivered great movies such as Forrest Gump, Cast Away, and The Polar Express during his illustrious career and it is always exciting when a movie of his is on the horizon.

Zemeckis has a knack for exploring interesting and complex character - and that trend looks set to continue with The Walk.

The movie follows the story of French high wire artist Philippe Petit, who attempted to cross the towers of the World Trade Centre in 1974. Gordon-Levitt is set to take on the role of Petit in the film.

A terrific cast has been assembled for the film, as Gordon-Levitt is joined by Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale, Charlotte Le Bon, and Ben Schwartz.

Twelve people have walked on the moon, but only one man has ever, or will ever, walk in the immense void between the World Trade Centre towers.

Guided by his real-life mentor, Papa Rudy (Kingsley), and aided by an unlikely band of international recruits, Petit and his gang overcome long odds, betrayals, dissension and countless close calls to conceive and execute their mad plan.

The Walk is released 2nd October.
