Tilda Swinton swears by her "tandoori tan" to disguise herself.

Swinton is usually known for her minimal makeup and androgynous hairstyles, but in her current role the star looks unrecognisable.

The British star has previously played dark and intense roles such as a fearful and anxious mother in 'We Need to Talk about Kevin', but now plays vacuous, vain men's magazine editor Dianna in Amy Schumer's, 'Trainwreck!' and says it was fake tan which shaped the character.

She told US OK! Magazine: "I wanted to make a sorta disguise for myself, and started to think 'If I had this tandoori tan ...' It just made me laugh. The tan was the beginning of it all. It all started in a bottle."

The transformation, not only in character, but also physically, is a far cry from Tilda's pale and interesting look and it sees the star in a shoulder length caramel wig with a orangey complexion.
