Tom Wilkinson has revealed that he is getting tired of having to travel to make movies.

Wilkinson is about to start work on new film Selma - which is a Martin Luther King biopic - and will have to fly to the U.S. to star filming.

And while he enjoys the acting side of things, he is considering turning down work if it involves travel.

Speaking the Press Association, the actor said: "I'm going away next week to do something [the Luther King biopic, Selma] and I don't really want to do it.

"I mean, I do if it's filming in London, but getting into an aeroplane and flying to a strange town? I've done a lot of that.

"I'm getting very close to saying, 'I don't want to do that [travel for work] any more'. We'll see how this goes. It's never as bad as you think it's going to be."

Wilkinson will take on the role of President Lyndon B. Johnson in Selma, as he stars alongside Tim Roth, Cuba Gooding Jr, and David Oyelowo.

He has also completed work on Good People, Jenny's Wedding, Unfinished Business, and Bone in the Throat.
