Inhumans is one of the film projects that is on the horizon for Marvel but it has all gone a little quiet. However, Vin Diesel is still talking about the project after being linked to a role earlier this year.

Diesel has met with Marvel a few times over the last couple of years and it has been suggested that he was being circled for the role of Black Bolt in the upcoming film. However, Diesel says that there are a few things that he is looking for first:

Speaking to MTV about the possibility of appearing in Inhumans, the actor said: "I don't do too much 'if it happens. Do you know what I mean?'... I don't do too much 'if it happens,' it's more at what level it will happen... it's not a matter of me wooing Marvel, it's a matter of Marvel wooing me.

"And I love them, but I'm just saying, show me a dope script and show me a great director, all of which I know that Kevin [Feige] is capable of, because he dazzled me when he suggested Groot. That was, like, profound to me. I thought [Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy] was genius. I'm not doing anything just for work. I'm doing things that I can feel passionate about, and that I feel like I can contribute to."

Diesel enjoyed huge success last year when he voiced the character of Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, which went on to be both a critical smash and a huge hit at the box office.

Inhuman is just one of the projects that is in the pipeline and is not expected to hit the big screen until summer 2019 - we are going to see a lot of Marvel movies released before then.

Captain America: Civil War is in the can, filming on Doctor Strange is about to get under way, and shooting on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is set to begin next year.

There's still no word on the new Spider-Man film, while Black Panther is also yet to officially name its director. Joe and Anthony Russo will take over the director's chair for Avengers: Infinity War and shooting on that two film project is expected to start in autumn of next year.

As for Diesel, he is back on the big screen this week with The Last Witch Hunter, which sees him team up with Rose Leslie, Michael Caine, and Elijah Wood. An eighth Fast & Furious film is in the pipeline and he is also set to reprise the role of Xander Cage in a new xXx movie.
