Zach Braff

Zach Braff has revealed that he will be returning to the director's chair this year.

The actor is casting for his new movie at the moment and this will be his first big screen outing as a director since Garden State back in 2004.

Has has directed a couple of projects since but they have both been in TV.

Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "I'm casting right now, and this year I'm going to get back into the director's chair and make a film I've written with my brother Adam.

"It's a comedy drama about a father who, for a bunch of reasons, has to home-school his two young kids.

"He's not too solid with the academics himself so he learns to be a good teacher and a good dad through being with his kids.

Whether Braff will star in the movie is yet unclear but he returned to the big screen over the weekend in Oz The Great And Powerful.

The movie saw the actor appear as well as lend his voice to one of the characters in the movie.

Oz The Great And Powerful sees Braff team up with James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams while Sam Raimi is in the director's chair.

Oz The Great And Powerful is out now.
