Zack Snyder

Zack Snyder has hinted that there could be a sequel to Man of Steel.

The 300 director is back in the director's chair this summer as he brings Superman back to the big screen.

Man of Steel sees Snyder team up with Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer - who are serving as producer and writer - and it seems there could be more in the pipeline for this character.

Speaking to Empire the director said: "We didn't design the movie like Batman [as a trilogy] but I don't think anybody would say you design a Superman movie as a one-off.

This is the first big screen outing for Snyder since Sucker Punch but this is not the first time that he has brought a comic to the big screen having been behind the adaptations of graphic novels 300 and Watchmen.

Henry Cavill takes over the role of Superman while Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner and Michael Shannon are all on the cast list.

Man of Steel is released 14th June.
