Julianne Moore has hit up the awards circuit in recent weeks, scooping every Best Actress award going for her central performance in Still Alice... now the acclaimed drama is finally coming to UK cinema.

Still Alice

Still Alice

Still Alice is the last of the big awards movies to hit the big screen and is set to be a drama that is not to be missed this weekend.

Moore has always been a terrific actress - with a series of Oscar nominations under her belt - but Still Alice marks one of the most demanding roles of her career to date. And she has been well rewarded for that work, as the Best Actress gong marked her first Oscar win.

Still Alice is a movie that I have been looking forward to for some time, and we have a series of great new clips to share, ahead of the film's release on Friday:

Still Alice is based on the novel by Lisa Genova and sees Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland in the director's chair. The movie sees the pair reunite for their first film together since The Last of Robin Hood back in 2013 - this also marks the first time that they have worked with Moore.

The duo has assembled a terrific cast, as Moore is joined by Alec Baldwin, Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth, Shane McRae, and Hunter Parrish. As for Baldwin, this is the second year in a row that he has played the on-scree husband to the Best Actress Oscar winner - she starred alongside Cate Blanchett in Blue Jasmine last year.

Still Alice sees Moore take on the role of a linguistics professor who is given the devastating news that she has early onset Alzheimer's Disease.

Julianne Moore is an actress who has enjoyed a career that has spanned over thirty years and seen her win critical acclaim as well as box office success. However, it is great to finally see her get her hands on cinema's greatest acting prize.

Still Alice is released 6th March.
