Lightning McQueen will soon be arriving in people’s homes on the latest instalment of the ‘Cars’ film series, CARS 3. The recent film sees McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) blindsided and pushed away by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, mainly developing a rivalry with Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer). In order to come back on top of the game and prove he’s still got it, he will be needing the help of some new friends like trainer and technician Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo). Lewis Hamilton also makes an appearance as “Hamilton”, Cruz’s electronic personal assistant.

LEWIS HAMILTON

Lewis Hamilton is known for being one of the best racing drivers having won the title of Formula One World Champion three times. The British driver has conquered titles across a number of races and established himself as a household name in the race car driving industry. For all his achievements and reputation it seemed like a no brainer to have him voice a race car’s electronic personal assistant. However, this is not the first time the driver has made its presence in the Car’s films. Hamilton appeared in Cars 2 as a car that was named after, based on and voiced by him.

JAMES EARL JONES

James Earl Jones’ voice is without a doubt one of the most recognizable voices in the entertainment industry. He is known for voicing some of the most famous characters in film such as Mufasa from The Lion King and the iconic Darth Vader from the Star Wars film series. Besides films, he has also lent his voice to CNN by voicing their famous tagline “This is CNN” as well as having his own audiobook series titled: James Earl Jones Reads the Bible in which he narrates the New Testament. Who wouldn’t want to get directions from the man who can do it all? MORGAN FREEMAN

This is one of the reasons why he became the Hollywood household name to portray God. He has taken this role in “Bruce Almighty”, “Evan Almighty” and the National Geographic series “Story of God”. Freeman also narrated Hillary Clinton’s video introduction campaign in 2016 as a Democratic Presidential candidate, War of the Worlds and March of the Penguins. His booming voice is a perfect choice for a sat nav option. What better person to guide you when you’re in the middle of nowhere than one who has the reassuring and supportive tones of Freeman’s voice.

KIM CATTRALL

Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall is an obvious choice if someone would like to be guided by a sexier version. Her portrayal of Samantha Jones in the famous TV show series which turned into two feature films has marked her as an iconic sex-symbol. For someone who would rather hear their directions from a sexy female voice, her breathy tone would be the best option for hearing “Take the next left”.

WILL FERRELL

Will Ferrell is known for being one of the best American comedian actors. He has starred I some of the highest grossing comedies alongside fellow actors Ben Stiller, Steve Carell, Owen Wilson among others. Some of his best known films and roles include Ron Burgundy in the Anchorman films, Step Brothers, Daddy’s Home and the Christmas staple Elf.
