When it comes to horror films hitting the big screen in 2016, The Conjuring 2 is one that I am looking forward to the most because I was such a HUGE fan of the first time.

Yes, it was back in the summer of 2013 when director James Wan first brought the story of Lorraine and Ed Warren to the big screen... now they are back investigating a brand new case.
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson are back as paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed, as they reunite with director Wan.
This is the first time that we have seen Wan tackle a horror film since Insidious: Chapter 2 and the first time we have seen him in the director's chair since the huge success of Fast & Furious 7 last summer. I like Wan as a horror filmmaker and it is great to see him return to this genre.
Wan has already brought us films like Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring and I can't wait to see what he delivers this time around. It really is promising to be a horror film that is not to be missed this summer.
While Farmiga and Wilson are the two familiar faces on the cast list of The Conjuring 2, Franka Potente, Frances O'Connor, Simon Delaney, and Maria Doyle Kennedy are some of the great new additions to the cast list.
Ed and Lorraine travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits. The case proved to be one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations.
For me, The Conjuring is one of the best horror movies of recent years - it was also one of the most successful at the global box office. The film went on to gross $318 million; making it one of the highest grossing horror movies of all time.
I have been looking forward to The Conjuring 2 ever since it was announced that the film had been given the green light. Wan relied on good storytelling and good old-fashioned tricks to create chills and scares. The movie did not use cheap gimmicks and lots of violence and I hope that Wan delivers more of this second time around.
The Conjuring 2 is set to be one of the standout summer films and I hope it lives up to my already lofty expectations.
