The Equalizer

The Equalizer

We haven't seen Denzel Washington on the big screen since 2 Guns last summer, but he is set to return with The Equalizer.

The Equalizer sees Washington take on more of an action role in this action/thriller, and it promises to be one of the best films in this genre in 2014.

It is always exciting to see Washington back on the big screen - he really is a fine actor - but it is even more exciting when he reunites with director Antoine Fuqua.

This is the second time that the pair has teamed up; the first one being that small movie called Training Day.

Training Day was the film that saw Washington scoop the Best Actor Oscar for his sizzling central performance as Det. Alonzo Harris, and I can't wait to see what the pair pulls out of the bag this time around.

However, The Equalizer is not all about Washington, as he is joined on the cast list by Chloë Grace Moretz, Melissa Leo, Bill Pullman, and Marton Csokas.

Since the success of Training Day, Fuqua has been behind Shooter and Brooklyn's Finest, and The Equalizer is her first film since Olympus Has Fallen.

The Equalizer tells the story of a former black ops commando who faked his death and is now living a quiet life and returns to action to rescue a prostitute from evil pimps.

His actions cause the Russian mob to send rogue CIA agents to kill him; he battles back against overwhelming odds, defeating them and becoming 'The Equalizer.'

We are huge fans of Denzel Washington here at FemaleFirst, and we cannot wait to see him return to do what he does best!!!

The Equalizer is released 26th September
