The Grand Seduction

The Grand Seduction

The Grand Seduction is another movie to watch out for next week as Brendan Gleeson returns to the big screen in a comedy role.

The Grand Seduction is a movie that I have been looking forward to for a while, and it really does look like a lot of fun.

Gleeson is a great comedy actor - if you haven't seen black comedies such as In Bruges and The Guard then you should check the out - but it is great to see him tackling something a little lighter with this.

We have some great new clips from the film to share with you ahead of the release next Friday:

Gleeson is joined on the cast list by Taylor Kitsch, Liane Balaban, Gordon Pinsent, and Mark Critch.

The movie marks the return of Don McKellar to the director's chair for this third feature film. The director was behind Last Night and Childstar: the latter was released back in 2004.

The Grand Seduction is a comedy about learning the value of the truth.

The small harbour of Ticklehead is in dire need of a doctor so that the town can land a contract to secure a factory, which will save the town from financial ruin.

Village resident Murray French (Gleeson) leads the search, and when he finds Dr. Paul Lewis (Kitsch) he employs - along with the whole town - tactics to seduce the doctor to stay permanently.

The Grand Seduction is released 29th August.
